I have been told (but never had to try it) that if you get a customer service representative on the phone that you believe is not in the United States, all you have to do is ask to speak with a rep in the United States. I am told that they are required to connect you to an American rep.
As I said before, I have not had to try this. If someone knows if this is so, please update us?
I always ask. Sometimes you do. Most the time I was put on hold for 5 minutes and someone else answers. You can still tell their from Pakistan or similar - they just speak better. You can tell because they stretch their words out longer when pronouncing them.
