CB or Ham Radio good to get in contact to other RVers?

I use my VHF/UHF radio in my truck but I program it for repeaters for use enroute. No I have never made contact with other travelers but it is nice to have to pass time, I even use it campsites for local repeaters.

I encourage anyone to go for their license.
