CB or Ham Radio good to get in contact to other RVers?

I usually monitor simplex + CB 19 when traveling. CB is really only good for road hazards (police, construction, accidents) but every trucker still has one a monitors 19. They just don't chat like they used to (guess cell phones and satellite radio have taken the place as boredom antidotes)
