I don't know. This will really happen or not, but from what I read on another forum. There will be lots of RV people on Channel 13. That's what I read
that was probably in the same paper as the item on Elvis working at a Burger King in Pomona, CA. there may be a lot of RV's with CB radios but in my experience, backed up by a lot of folks on this thread, they either have those radios turned off or are afraid to pick up the mic cuz I can remember maybe 1 or 2 conversations with another RV on CB. one time the other driver turned out to be a ham so we switched the conversation from CB to 2-meters.
our CB is on all the time while we're driving for two reasons...our radio has a built-in weather alert receiver which has saved our bacon more than once. and nothing beats CB for instant road information...accidents, lane closures, etc. on those fairly rare occasions when the language becomes too rough...usually in cities and around truck stops...we turn it off but otherwise it's on all the time. ham call is N9DKO and N9DKN, CB call is Banana Boat.
