CB or Ham Radio good to get in contact to other RVers?

for short range communications chatting while going down the highway the ONLY answer is a CB. that is what all the truck drivers use. a ham radio might be great if you want to talk to somebody back home but other than that would be a waste on the highway, as would be a cell phone.

do not buy the Cobra? all in the microphone jobby as it has a speaker the size of a nickle and is dreadful. also the mike is too large for my hands.
