Howdy!
We have a CB in our TV and when traveling I have it on chennal 13. In the last seven years of fulltiming I have never been contact on our CB on chennal 13 by anyone. It is useful when we get into traffic. I switch over to chennal 19 and get update on traffic problem and its nice to be able to know which lane to be in. We do also use a handheld along with the truck CB when parking when we are not able to use cell phones. So to answer your question I would not install a CB, if your want or need one I would just opt for a handheld one with the the option to plug into a 12v outlet and a external antenna. We have one called a "Road Trip" that has these options.
