True.
That's why if I am going to program my radio, I use the ARRL Repeater Directory to find the frequencies needed, and do the programming for where I will be traveling either the night before, or in the morning before I leave.
The same goes for the AM/FM/CD/Cassette player. Do the selections, tuning, loading, etc. BEFORE the wheels start turning.
Same thing for the Garmin. Program FIRST, then drive off!
As IBM used to say; THINK and PLAN AHEAD!

Club numbers: Flathead Valley Sidebanders; FVS79. Sidebanders Service Bureau; SSB59. Some others that I'm not sure of. Montana Unit 598? Stoner Owner (radio S/N) I don't remember, and my son has the radio in another state.
