Censors deleted me for voicing MY opinion!

All this over a post made by someone who has a sense of humor and it was missed by OP and taken as if it really occurred :S

Is there a difference between flaming and telling someone the truth????? I never read anything about candy coating an opinion in the rules!

I have had posts deleted or edited.. Some of the moderators will send you a PM, and in a few cases I thanked them for the action they took.

I won't discuss either those occasions or the ones where I did not thank them (I will let you figure out why). as, it's been long enough that details have faded.

On a DIFFERENT family of forums...... Well over there I have gotten ticked at THEIR moderators from time to time... When that happens I basically suspend them for like six months.. To be honest, I'm worth more to them than they to me...

But that has never happened here. And I'm not the only one.. I have a few friends who can say the exact same thing.. some of them never returned to those forums.. but still post here.

In short, I think the moderators here do a fairly good job.

Funny how a guy posts a thread about getting deleted for an unknown cause, and then others get rude and whiny and tell him his post was deleted because he was rude and whiny. Interesting. Looks kind of like circular debating.

I saw that post, and they told him why in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS, and as you note right down to the exact number of deletes he had. I remember it well since that's the first I realized that they're actually counting "deletes"! :E

I've NEVER had A post deleted...now post(s), that's a whole 'nother ball game:B

When I've been deleted, it doesn't take me more than 15-30 seconds to figure out why I got deleted...kind of get a "feeling" as you're typing a reply to a post as to if one has "stepped over the line"....thus, some never see a lot of my post...I'll be typing them out, look at it before I post and just "forget it"....knowing, it could lead to a deleted post....I'm going to do better though...

Pretty sure most who have posts deleted have a darned good idea as to why they were blown away. Mod's are busy enough. They don't need to be coddling.

No, they aren't too busy. If they have enough time to input their own opinions, the. They have time to post a reason for removing a posting or closing a thread. Just as one moderator stated earlier that another moderator would close this thread. Why didn't that moderator do it already? A mod can tell someone like westernrvparkowner in a pm how many postings of his was removed, yet they can't take the time to tell him why. And seriously, there should be a limit and someone is put on a time out. After a few of those, stop them from posting.

Also, there are some posts that are deleted that when you try to follow a thread, that comments are made and some have no idea what was said. Threads look half baked. Happened the other day in another thread. Have no idea why it was deleted (wasn't mine btw) I didn't see anything wrong with what is said. Can't stop a poster from editing and removing what they say, but if a mod makes a change to a post, there should be a reason noted.
