Take a nice little drive out there.. its not that far. I couldn't predict what will happen with the burger. In a worst case scenario it is hard to get odor out of a fridge. Then you can open the doors and let it air.
The McDonald's burgers that fossilize are in a dry environment. Owing to their small size (and who knows what else) they dry out before decomposing. One notable cheesburger lasted from the early '90s in a dry environment. It even looked very similar to the day it was produced.
