- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII went camping last night on February 17 IN MINNESOTA ! We have been having a rare warm spell. It was over 60 degrees yesterday and it never got below freezing last night. Minnesota's Lake Shetek State Park is near me and the campground is open as long as there is no snow. The dog and I went camping, had a nice walk down the trails, started a fire, grilled out some food, and slept comfortable after the exercise.
I left the camper winterized and just used a porti-potti in the bathroom and bottled water. - shadows4Explorer IIIChill Out!!!! It's been warm up here in KC. Last two days it has been in the mid 70's and supposed to be high 60's to the low 70's for the next week. Definately makes me think of getting the 5er out of storage. Wouldn't take that long to dewinterize and clean up!!!

From what I read about it I'll bet that the State of Jefferson also was, and is, a State of Mind. :C - BizmarksMomExplorerI'm one month away from heading down to Death Valley!
- westendExplorerThe squirrels aren't out yet, here.
Although, today, we had temps up in the 50's and Sunday, may crack 60. That global warming stuff is just great. - starcraft69Explorer

RV camping has a season??? ;)
In my experience, it has 2 seasons... bug spray season and campfire season.
Both are pretty darn good seasons! While I am not wishing away my youth, or the youth of my children, I am anxiously awaiting when they are a little older so that we can stretch campfire season later in the year. Before kids, we would camp locally into the mid 20 temps. We would just bundle up a little more and sit closer to the fire. With a 4 and 2 year old though, we have raised our minimum camping temp to about 40 degrees. - ScottGNomad

Not soon enough but at least we're closer to the beginning than the end!

Really you pack it in for the winter, in the PNW???
We love winter, just spent our 4th new Years on the Oregon Coast! In fact the whole month of January, we had wind, rain, snow, sunshine, cold temps and warm temps.
I would rather enjoy our home and all the things our area has to offer when it's miserable out. - nbkingExplorerWe still have 4 feet of snow in our yard. The motor home is in storage and the snow will have to be cleared with a snow blower at the end of March just to be able to get into it.
Camping season is a long way away for us.
Nice picture though. - Dutch_12078Explorer IIRV camping has a season??? ;)
