There are so many makes, models and sizes of each, combined with fuel type, speed, choice of roads and the landscape, that anybody's answer won't be very useful. Just go with lousy. But its still cheaper than your share of the jet fuel when flying from point A to point B, plus car rental, hotel rooms and restaurant meals. Plus, you have your "stuff" with you, and you don't have to travel from New York to Chicago via Atlanta.
