In the case of job postings comments aimed at the possible drawbacks of the financial aspect of the offer could help someone re think a possible mistake and should not be taken as idle criticism. There are some really awful positions posted at times. (financially speaking)
People are still free to make their own judgments and act accordingly. I for one would appreciate less Nanny-ism and a bit more tolerance of debate and criticism. I do not need to be protected from those that may disagree with me. However Spam, Foul language, personal attacks, racial, sexual and other clearly offensive comments should be banned. This is what I would hope the moderators would concentrate on.
It all depends on whether you actually want employers to continue to post here in the forum or not. Some people only came here to post about how this isn't "paying" enough. These people who are only here to******all over these opportunities make employers feel unwelcome and not want to post here anymore. People frequenting here will miss out.
I would say this: Any employer with a "real" position that is properly paid, and honest description of the benefits and requirements will not be put off by a few bad comments.
People are able to make up their own minds.
However those employers who are looking for people to put into positions where the flow of benefit is mostly to the employer and who are unmasked here probably wont be back and that is a good thing.
I continue to maintain that there needs to be less concern over disagreement and a few snarky comments and more concern about spam and clearly bad behaviour.
Any employer who posts to a forum like this should be aware that there will be a few who post negative comments. I dont think the employers need any more protection than I do...
