Closed: Workamping topics
Closed:I'm curious as to why a bunch of topics under this sub-topic (Workamping) are closed??

I usually skip over the Workcamping Forum, but every now and then one gets my attention. I would expect these forums to be closed rather quickly though. I have not noticed the negativity, maybe because those posts get deleted before I get to them, or I just simply don't check these forms... whatever.
But, I would think, once the form has run it's course, I would expect it to be closed. Kind of like a posting for a job in the classified ads in the local newspaper, today the job is available. If you wait till tomorrow to enquire, the job is probably filled. Should the news paper continue to run the ad over and over? Forums are not ads, but once the information is "out there", at least the entire thread is not deleted. The information still exists, as does the contact information. At that point, I would expect anyone interested in the position to contact the "employeer" for more information.
Maybe I'm just a bit old fashioned, but I don't see any sense in keeping them open forever. Once closed, they are still readable. Anyone still interested can always make contact themselves? Is that so bad?
