I thought this thread was closed, just looking at the title. If the OP wants to get a few more opinions, they should modify the subject line so it doesn't appear this thread is closed.
What caused the shift to closing help wanted threads to posting was the fact that many people chimed in saying how it was a bad position. People would say this job or that job was bad because why would anyone clean toilets for money, or why would anyone work for that many hours a week when they were retired Or the pay is too low. Or reviews look like that park is ugly. Or why would anyone workamp in Texas in the summer. It discouraged any employer from posting a job, and with no jobs posted there isn't really a need for a Workamping Forum as a place for employers to post positions.
As a thought, it would be nice if instead of just saying closed, the forum could come up with better wording. Even "help wanted threads are not open for discussion" would be better than "closed". Even better would be if there was a way that employers could edit the thread with a "Position Filled" response. Finally, I think the post should just disappear after a period of time (say 30 days) unless the employer contacts the moderator and instructs them to extend the posting (maybe with a date and "still available" in the subject line). This forum has the potential to be beneficial to both employers and perspective employees, but it sure wasn't good for either with all the negative posts generated for each job listing.
