Coach Net or just use my insurance

Ok im with Progressive on the MH...they said IF I break down they will tow me to the nearest service station that can handle this unit.
Coach Net premium will send repair guy ( I pay for)or tow me , tire replace ( I pay for) cost is 249.00 first year...
But is it any better than my insurance coverage I already have ??
  • Y'don't have to pay Coach-net $249/year for what THEY want to to buy. Keep running the website until you see "Premier Coach"...for one year, $159.

Expensive? Wait until you have a blowout. That card is worth it's weight in gold.
  • I have had CoachNet for several years. The one time that I needed them they sent a large tow truck to tow our 40' motorhome to the nearest repair facility which was 35 miles away. Unfortunately that facility couldn't look at it for 2 weeks.

I told CoachNet that wasn't going to work for me because I was heading south in about 4 days. They said no problem, we found another Freightliner facility about 185 miles away that can look at it right away, all at no cost to me.

The driver said that it would have cost me over $1000.00 if I didn't have Coachnet road side service.

I seriously doubt the other "road service" companies would go beyond the closest repair facility, no matter what my schedule was. The $249.00 a year for Coachnet is definitely worth it to me.
  • I've had Coach Net since 2005. I've used them twice for passenger car (blown tire) and twice for my motorhome (towing was required both times). I've been real happy with their service. I greatly appreciate being able to talk with an RV Technician if I have any questions about how things work.
  • How much will it cost you when your auto insurance goes up due to you making a claim? Some insurance companies look at a road service claim the same as an accident.

    Seems absurd, but it happens.

we've had a road service (Good Sam) for 32-yrs and have used it several timeseven though we have 'road service' with state farm. we keep it mostly because we need it while in areas away from home and i don't want to be huntng for a hook or service provider at 9pm on a sunday or holday weekend. one call does it all.
  • I have Coach Net and last year had a major break down near Wolf Creek Pass. They sent a wrecker for my TV & a 1 ton Dully for my camper. Camper was put in park and truck to a shop. I asked what the cost would have been, $800-900 dollars. They asked for my signature on the paper work, done.

Used two other times for flats, once they wanted a signature the other time the driver said he had already been paid when he showed up.

I keep them because not only do they come when I call, IF I have an issue and can not get my RV home (wife does not drive) they will see it gets to my house. The peace of mine is worth the premium to me.
