Everybody has their own style of coffee-making. We use a plastic Melitta filter holder with disposable paper filters. The coffee goes into an insulated carafe. This is the drip method that preceded all of the Mr. Coffee type systems.
Advantages:
Makes good coffee - at least as good as the electric drip systems.
Doesn't require electricity.
Easy cleanup - toss the filter paper and rinse out everything else.
