Depends if the 'highly integrated' brake controller & yaw (sway) control
system is in your vehicle.
Don't think so, as IIRC, the OEM yaw/sway control system came out later
If you do have the yaw control system, a definite yes it can
Another maybe yes if your 'highly integrated' brake controller has issue
as since it is 'highly integrated' it ties into the whole vehicle
computing system, which includes ABS and traction control
ABS opens and closes a system that changes the braking fluid PSI to
each wheel. ABS does what I was taught to do on slippery and need to
brake HARD...pound the brake pedal hard and let go cycling between'm
as fast you can. An ABS system can buzz that many times more than
any human can
Traction control, on some vehicles, can set one wheel or any combo
of all of them.
Definitely time to have your braking system checked by a mechanic that
has the proper scan tools
'Highly integrated' means that any one of the component/sub-systems
interacts with the rest of the 'system'
So the trailer brake controller might be telling the system that there
is a need to brake...
Or that some set of conditions and subsequent sensory inputs are telling
one of those sub-systems to initiate braking on that one wheel
This is only one reason I dislike 'highly integrated' anything. I've
had to toss too many 'highly integrated' printer/copier/fax/scanner's
Am now back to individual printer, but my copier is one of those 'highly
integrated' copier/fax/scanner/printers. Best deal out there..at that
time...and the scanner is flaky, so gone back to the old scanner for now
