Cold weather travel

Is there any problems with towing in 15 degrees weather with gel coat rv's
  • Nope! If cold weather and snow hurt them, then we're all in trouble.

oops! Enjoying a wonderful Indiana sunny day! I guess the gell coat on this old bird doesn't get affected by cold and snow either!

  • I don't think its legal to cross state lines with snow on a RV roof.
  • None. Our trailer is gel coated and is 13 years old with all of it spent in Michigan winters for a while. It is here right now with temps in the low 20's and lower getting ready to leave for warm weather next week. No gel coat problems in all those years.

Here is a picture of my son-in-law helping me dig it out last Sunday to bring home to load for the trip.

  • I don’t think there will be any issues, “IF” your gel coat is similar to mine. We have towed many time at or below zero F.
