Collapsable drinking water hose... yay or nay

I have had a ZeroG hose now for about 4 years. I have had it connected to city water for up to 30 days without issue. I like it because it takes up less storage space but also it does not get stiff during cold weather which makes it easier to put into storage. I also carry an older green non-potable hose to use with my black water flush as it is easier to store. I do not carry any other hoses.

they may take up a lot less storage space but the entire length has to uncoil when in use. i use these for extra water hoses and electrical cords. same small storage but you don’t have to unwind entire length to use them

The Zero G is advertised as long lasting.

The only Issue I've had with flat hoses, and I think I still have one used for washing the RV, is they do not last as long as regular hoses.

I'd not fear it for drinking,, Just for long life.

They're drinking water safe and super lightweight - especially in the 7/16 inch diameter and 1/2 inch diameter sizes.

Great for filling the fresh water tank and general use. I would not leave it connected under pressure to supply the RV water system. Easy to store several to use when a spigot is a few campsites away. Lodgepole, Furnace Creek and Upper Pines a similar hose has worked well for me.

Manufacturers can make all sorts of claims about their hoses. First thing I would look to see is if it is NSF certified so you know it'll be safe to drink from. No NSF - no buy...

I have two of the collapsible hoses that I bought at Camping World. One feature I like about them is they roll up on a plastic reel.

We used to camp a lot at forest service campgrounds, where the water spigots are scattered around the loops. Every time I was in a situation where my hoses were too short I bought another hose. I now have two 50 foot flat hoses plus 3- 25 foot vinyl hoses. I have used 175 feet in the past, but not recently.

I had 2 of the first ones that came out, (don't remember the brand name) but the first one, I used several times, then the last time it was really sunny & hot, evidently the water boiled inside the hose & it burst, still have the other one, unopened, only carry it as an emergency back-up.

I have 2 100' zero g hoses for 3 years and they coil up nice in my 5 gallon bucket..Alot easier than dealing with a big tote and regular hose..Also they have a 5 year warranty I believe
