We drink Folgers or Maxwell house and we bounce back and forth between the lighter/darker brews depending on how we feel that day. Occasionally I also like espresso but the brand escapes me at the moment.
We used a Melita cone filter for decades until I couldn't find the #6 filters. I found that the spare strainer off of our Bunn at home worked even better as it holds more hot water for a better steep. Once we got the solar and inverter Honey wanted to use the little auto drip we have in case we had shore power.
The little Rival auto drip does ok but it is noisy and takes forever early in the morning. I'd love to take the Bunn from home but it keeps the water hot all the time, no way to do that camping, or so I thought. The heater that keeps the water hot is small and the few amps it uses are manageable. I can get up, turn OFF the Bunn and make a steaming hot pot pre dawn quickly and silently. Poor me some, put the rest in a thermos and wait for Honey and sun to be up to turn the Bunn back on to reheat the water.
I also have two stove top espresso makers that make sure there will be no noddin off around the camp fire. ;)
