Large coffee pot almost full of cold water
Bring to a rolling boil over open fire, stove top, grill etc.
Drop in 4 heaping large spoons of coffee grinds.......brand doesn't matter
Slap on lid
Move to less heat area and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Pour cup of water around/over top to settle grounds
Pour a big mug
Enjoy straight like coffee was meant to be drunk
This was granddads recipe.he also threw in a little egg shell.
Have you ever heard of this?
Egg shells, a little more coffee grounds, etc. etc.
Anything works......what you are doing is breaking the surface tension and causing grounds to settle.
I use cold water cause it sinks quickly taking grounds with it and slightly lowers coffee temp from boiling to drinkable.
