Don't forget, LT tires are designed to carry live humans that can sue the manufacturer if they blow going down the road, which is almost unheard of. ST tires aren't.
I can't resist:
Then why, pray tell, do so many States (not to mention the Feds) allow "live humans" to ride in fifth wheels and/or trailers without restriction as to tire type?
If you are serious about that question, I will answer it.
If you are being sarcastic, well played.
I have over a million and a half miles pulling trailers. How 'bout you?
On edit, I will give my educated guess as to why.
I'll have to look at the company books to see how many miles I've towed trailers, assuming the question includes equipment-type haulers. I'll have to get back to you on that one... assuming of course that "you're serious about that question".
If you're waiting for me to say I'm serious about my own question to you, I am. I've asked it just about every time the "not approved for people haulers" factoid comes up and so far nobody seems to be able to answer it.
I'd be most grateful to hear your educated guess.
