i am not trying to pick a fight on the speed rating with the gentleman from Lake Shasta country .
From the Tire Rack website : the Towmax STR is not rated for speed .
The speed ratings are available as a search criteria in the left hand column marked " Filters " .
Speed ratings check boxes are at the bottom of that left hand column under filters on the Tire Rack website .
The Tire Rack employee most likely made an error when he advised you .
Speed ratings are part of the UTGQ , uniform tire grading quotient .
ST tires are not graded by the UTGQ and are not rated for speed because they are not graded by the UTGQ .
