Regardless of the type or brand of tires -- on a trailer they take more abuse than on a automobile. To get maximum life with a minimum of problems on any tire on any trailer you must be obsessively compulsive about maintenance and care. This means FREQUENTLY checking pressure, FREQUENTLY inspecting both visually and tactily, and getting on your back UNDERNEATH the rig and inspecting with a flashlight and mirror the inside parts you can't see on a walk around.
Or one can install one of the three or four all steel ply LTE LT offerings if they have 6k axles of under and not worry about their tires for 6 to 8 years. I have used both the Ribs and R250s. Neither lost air over time. There is a lot of comfort in knowing you are running the best! Of if you have 7k axles then install GY G614s. You are then on tires that do not have the 65mph speed restriction. Chris
