Depends on what forum you read. The OE tires on Airstream TTs are almost all 14" & 15". Their OE tires suffer early - less than 3 years - failures and just as often as other forum 16" tires.

It's very hard to sift through all the reported failures and come-up with a common factor.

Could it be the mistreatment at the factory, on the way to the dealer, and then sitting around for a few months on their lots?

Is it the misunderstanding by the trailer owner about the differences between the ST tires and automotive tires?

We are warned over and over again about the need for full sidewall pressures for the ST tires. Then we often see people posting how they manipulate their tire pressures below what has been recommended.

Very seldom does a poster provide information about the validated cause of a tire failure. As a frequent poster in tire forums you will get chastised severely for mentioning under inflation, overloading and excess speed as the cause of failures.

The posting beat goes on with very little useful information.

I can provide whatever level of detail on the tires, inflation, temperature, speed or the failure reason you may want. It has been repeated over and over. Tread separation occurred on three of the 4 tires in less than 10,000 miles, less than 3 years, loaded under rated capacity by at least 600 lbs each tire, never went over 62 MPH while tires checked daily to be 80 lbs PSI cold daily. Which one of the phony failure causes: underinflation, overloading or excess speed applies? Tread separation validated by Mission's US Distributor TireCo. The phony arguments don't hold water.

So, are you angry because you're one of the few?

Mission tires have been off the market quite some time now. Maybe you used them too long.

What was the cause of the tread separation?
