MrVan he knows what you are talking about, as he has experienced similar problems many times. He however continues down the same road and tries to get others to follow him. He had a plan to switch to 17.5" wheels and tires a few years ago. When he was challenged on how he could do that and continue to promote ST tires, he backed away from the wheel/tire the upgrade. And the beat goes on! Nothing changes!
Lots of people have reported the same results when switching to LT tires, that is they put tires issues behind them. It is a common and good upgrade when done correctly.
Lucky I have a trailer with a placard that list LT235/85R16E tires. So I do not have to bump heads with the marketing campaign of ST tire companies to try to lock people into their product.
Lastly, if Tireco, knew that the Mission ST tires were problematic(which they did), why did they not do what Michelin has done twice in two years, do a voluntary recall? That is just another reason to use a higher quality tire, you get much better support. Under the BFG Commercial TA recall, Michelin used every tire in their stable and even sent some down the street to get tires from their compedators!
If there has been a class act lately in the tire arena, I would say it has been Michelin.
