I suspect that far too much thinking has gone into this whole debate. To put it simply, in many product lines, there is often a catagory that exists that is built down to a level that is quite simply, a minimal product. Sometimes the minimal product works fine for some people, and those people therefore become ardent supporters of it.
Other folks in the buying market, prefer to have a better quality product, built to a higher standard. We are willing to spend more dollars to get that higher level product.
See how simple this can be ? :)
It's really not that hard folks. If it works for you, then fine, continue to buy and use. But let's not pretend that these ST tire are something they are not.
