Concerned about traffic signals with short yellow light

In Florida, intersections with red light cameras have a small blue light near the stoplight that is included in the photo. If you know about these blue lights, you get a heads up on the existence of a camera at the intersection. There is a blue light visible in each of the four directions. I have read that the cameras drastically increase the incidents of rear end collisions at their intersections.
