Routine questions to investigate by looking at Montana law:
- Must a Montana LLC be "owned by" (have Members who are) residents of Montana?
- If so, what are the requirements to establish residency?
- Are annual meetings required? If so, do they need to be physically held in Montana?
- Must the LLC have a registered agent?
- Must the LLC conduct business in Montana? Is a business license required?
- Must the LLC file an annual tax return? Annual report?
- Can there be single-member LLC's?
Don't know the answers to the above for Montana, but these questions typically come up when setting up LLC's in other jx. I'd have concern about ownership / residency issues and how to comply with any requirements for that.
FWIW, this forum probably isn't the most effective place to get accurate and applicable advice about legally establishing and using a Montana LLC.
