A quick point of correction: FL sales tax is 6%. Local governments can add a voter-approved surtax for the first $5,000 of a single purchase. That's why many places in FL have a 7% tax.
Nothing wrong with the proper use of laws on the books to put yourself in a better tax position. Its not evasion, skirting, avoiding, etc. Its simply using the full extent of the legal options available. Donald Trump would be happy to tell you all about it.
Really? If not for this forum, I wouldn't be nervous about driving my TV with a 1/4 tank of fuel, pulling my slightly out-of-level RV down the road on Chinese made tires without a TPMS, while the gas refrigerator is running . Or perhaps I would be nervous...wait, now I'm confused ;)
