Yep, the part where nine of ten fools boasting about how they are smart enough to hide all their assets in an LLC end up learning a pretty tough lesson, when it all goes wrong. I've seen it happen all to often. Listening to media hucksters, buying DIY corporate filing documents online and/or having your local, general purpose attorney file doesn't seem to work real well in these parts. IMHO, the biggest thing that trips folks up is that they fail to properly weight the concept of personal guarantees in deals. Banks couldn't give a rat's butt hair how many corporations you think you are hiding behind. As an individual, or small business owner, they are doing business with you, not some scam LLC. When you fall on your butt, they collect from you. It may be a lot different in other states, but like I said previously, in this one, judges tend to be underwhelmed by the whole scam.
