Sure, dead-heading miles are written up the same as loaded miles as far as IRS is concerned , you just do not get paid for them !
DOT requirements are not that hard to comply with ! Most hauls will go south , leave your fiver 500 miles south of Elkhart , sleep in it coming and going !
