DH just retired from being a fulltime traveling construction superintendent. We actually started fulltiming out of Tallahassee back in 2005. But that contractor didn't have us travel enough. So we found a GC out of Atlanta that moved him every 4-11 mos, depending on the size of the project. They specialized in FF Restaurants and Truck Stops.
One advantage, we have the opportunity to go back to work at anytime, if DH feels up to it and we need to rebuild savings. He only retired because of an illness that required an extensive recuperation from surgery.
Check CareerBuilder and other job searches using traveling superintendent and see what pops up. There are GC's all over the country looking for Good Supers.
On Edit: I forgot to mention. The lodging/perdiem usually pays for monthly Campground fees, RV payment with money left over for Groceries.
