Honda's have low-oil shutoff that works pretty well. You wouldn't have to worry about it.

I have two, a Generac 5500 watt open frame and an ETQ 1800 watt inverter. Both of them also have low oil shutoffs. I paid $199 for the ETQ, btw. But I also would be very reluctant to run a generator continuously for a week, and would probably check the oil level a couple times, too.

They missed that Honda is the only generator in it's class with a GENUINE fuel pump so that 0.95 Gallon tank can be "Expanded" to 5 gallons or more if you really want to (usually to about 2 gallons) by using their extended run system.

How about a generator that can run all week on a single start. Honda can do it. No other can. Not one (portable that is).

Kinda redundant since the EU2000i has been discontinued in favour of the new, much more capable EU2200i.

Neighbors bought a harbor freight predator inverter generator and it is quite. Parts and durability would be my concern.

Honda's stellar reputation will carry them for awhile. HF Predator and Champion are knocking on the door ! It is hard to argue with the price difference.

My stepson bought one of the lower output Predators from HF and it was really quiet. Very easy to carry on a conversation standing directly over it. He's very happy with it.

I camped next to a predator (generator) and it was really pretty quiet. I don't know if it was carrying much of a load however.
