Converter on when plugged in ?

Guess maybe I don’t understand 100 percent the converter
I assumed when on shore power it didn’t come on but I noticed it run for a few minutes today ???

    Converter charges the house battery. Converter also supplies a supplimental 12VDC when more is called for than the battery can supply. So, yes its on all the time.
