Coolant acidity?

I have never heard of this...until a couple weeks ago when I was getting the oil changed. Crazy. Google it, by all means and go have the coolant checked in your vehicles.

To help in the process...I did a YouTube vid....https://youtu.be/L7ZbSwiuz10

  • Radiator coolant should be replaced every two years and use distilled water when toping off, it does deteriorate with time and heat, radiators will calsify and plug, if you live near salt water the radiarors will corrode to the point that you can run your finger down a row and have nothing but flakes, all coolant hoses should be replaced from 4 to 6 years dependig on where you live and type of commuting, hoses tend to rot from inside out and pin holes appear where they flex as the engine moves or rocks on the motor mounts when toque is applied.

  • Gary, I would suggest that folks look in the operators manual in regards to the coolant ELC or what ever it is.

Not take it to a jiffy lube and have some shark check it.

To me that was a totally hokie video. :R

When i was running a rattler, I always kept track of the coolant so the termites did not eat holes in the cyl liners.

Aren't gassers virtually free of the cyl wall cavitation issue?
