Cost of automatic levers

How much is a fair price to have a a 4 point set of automatic levelers installed on a 5th wheel??
  • I had semi-automatic HWH kick down levelers installed on my 'C'. My 'C' is too low to the ground for straight acting ones. They sure are nice to have when I pull into an RV park in the rain. I have no idea what I paid for them. Too long ago.

That does seem high. My research was from around spring of this year and was about $4,600 for an installed system at the Bigfoot facilities (not in Florida).

Maybe the installer that they picked is more expensive than having Bigfoot do the work directly?

  • We had Quadra factory install Big Foots on our brand new motor home 20 years ago . Great investment still going strong.
  • As I recall (a shaky concept!) the BigFoot on our fiver was about $3,500 installed at Quadra in MI. Have had it for 8 years plus, best RV investment we ever made.
  • I always thought they might be worth it if they came as part of the trailer, but then I've read quite a bit of negative input on their relative inability to rid the trailer of movement. The thought of spending that kind of money and then having to add JT Strongarms, expandable chocks, and maybe a pin tripod makes me think they just aren't worth the large cash outlay.
  • I have found that leveling systems for fifth wheels run right about $4,000-$4,600. I checked with both the Lippert system and the Bigfoot system.
  • Check with LazyDays being you are very close to them. I think the last time I checked for my motorhome it was in the $2600 range.
