I consider the cost of the CG negligible. I'm not made of money. I am a working stiff and a weekend warrior. Time is a bigger factor to me than money.
I'm generally only staying 3-4 days. I take 1 or 2 -10 day trips a year.
In the grand scheme of things if a CG is $45.00 or $75.00 It's not going to deter me if the CG is in a location I want to be. I have too much already invested to let a $30.00 a night difference alter my plans.
Yes I'll stay in a nice COE park or state park and enjoy the savings.
However I won't hesitate to spend the $80-$100 a night to stay in a resort area if that is the desired location. I'm not constantly chasing/seeking the cheapest rate. I prefer to be in a decent/prime location for more $$$ vs. being farther away or in a fish camp to save $$$.
As the OP already stated compared to hotel and condo rates CG prices are very reasonable.
I have the 5'er and the truck already. It's too late to fret about CG prices.
What are my options stay home....LOL.
The only way to get any value out of any RV, regardless of price, style or type is to use it. I try to use my rig as much as possible to get the most use/value
Sitting idle cost me more than CG fees.
