Just a note of cg cost vs hotel. I attend a conference every year in Jekyll Island. It is basically a week long event. My organization picks up the tab on the stay, so while cost is not an object for me personally, as President I still need to be fiscally responsible.
I can/and do stay all week in the campground on Jekyll for what a single nights room rate is to stay at thee Jekyll Island Club Hotel.
And to me I have the comfort of my own place following a long day of meetings. There is a lot of value there.
