I have been a Costco member ever since they came to town in the eighties and we generally visit the store about once a month. We tend to purchase food items at substantially lower prices than the local grocery stores. They often have high quality clothes and other items we buy from time to time. We have always liked the quality of products, customer service, and the special items they bring in seasonally.
There are some store brands we do not care for many items that we are not interested in buying. However, judging a store by one product offering seems a bit strange to me but fifty years ago I learned you can please 95% of customers 95% of the time. :)
Oh, and yes they do sell high quality caskets a good prices - we purchased one for a late family member. :W
