COSTCO no longer wants motorhomes in gas lines?

Told by a guy, that heard from a guy? Uh-huh.

I think this is wrong. My Costco did post a sign at the entrance to the fuel station that RVs over 40 feet in length were prohibited due to restricted exit space. That means I am still welcome in my rig.

Go inside and talk with COSTCO Management before taking the word of some guy who told some guy who told you......

Always VERIFY info of this nature with those that really have proper knowledge.

And that could have been the issue? Don't know for sure.
I wonder if that 40' limit applies to trucks/trailer combos as well.

It's gotta be true! It was just posted in the Internet!

Many places are not happy with RVs taking up two pumps. While they buy a relatively large amount of fuel - they also keep one pump from selling any fuel at the same time.

The only place I've ever had an employee say anything was the Pilot station in Nitro, WV.

I showed him my RV Plus Card and suggested he call the corporate HQ and ask to discuss the 'problem' with the Pilot CEO.

I will not try to take my 62 foot long rig into the Costco fuel center at the store closest to my daughter's home. Too little room to get out after fueling at that station. I do look at locations in a satellite view, if I can't visit them in person, before trying to get fuel.

It is obvious to me that Costco, Sams, Walmart and many others do not design their fuel locations with long RVs in mind. Which is why I have several options for fuel discounts. Since so many companies offer them today, it is seldom I can't get a discount on my fuel purchase. I can often beat the Costco or Sams price with other merchants.

True. And in those cases, I will use ONLY the outside of the island on the very end next to the driveway. That way there is no (or much less) of an issue getting in and out.

And as far as taking up two pumps......when I pump 40 gallons at a time, that is likely MUCH more than the two cars that would do 10 gallons each and then go into the store for 10 minutes.
