Cougar 330RBK (kingpin) - Pullrite SuperGlide or Gooseneck

We are moving from a travel trailer to a fifth wheel, we were going to get a new 336BHS but found a great deal on a 2015 330RBK used three times.

I am thinking of getting the pullrite superglide (can be found used locally for $500). Does anyone know the kingpin model info etc, that I need to choose the right capture plate? Seller isn't sure what I am asking..

However, the trailer already has Good2Go gooseneck adapter so I am wondering if should go with that type of hitch?

My truck is 6.5 bed, with no 5th wheel hitch currently.
  • Thanks for the replies. I have all the information I need now regarding the capture plate. I also bought ISR 2700 Superglide for $500 locally that doesn't look like it was even used once.
  • You would likely get more forum answers, if you asked the moderator to move your thread over to the fifth wheel forum.

  • I can't answer about the capture plate, but there are many people using them that should know.

I have called Lippert, with good results, friendly and helpful, might ask them. I don't think your pin box would be anything special, but best to find out. It may just be a new number not yet listed on the Pullrite chart.

  • Thanks, the seller did horse shows which probably explains it, I thought it was strange. Will not be using it.

The kingpin is Lippert 341692 which is not listed on PullRite's website on the capture plate fit chart. Can anyone help with this? I have contacted PullRite too.
  • I am surprised the original owner put a goose neck on it, as it can void the warranty with some manufacturers. In any case I would not continue using it.

Most Ram short beds will need a slider, and although heavy, the pullrite is a good choice.
