This... Or look for scrap pallets from your local warehouse/shipping company. I usually grab 3 or 4, break the down and use that for kindling quick, short peace fires.
But, yeah... Campground firewood sucks. When we get close to our destination I look for roadside firewood stands from local farmers or what-have-yous. Usually much cheaper and seasoned from my experience.
