I always bring a small flashlight to ANY laundry mat and do a quick look at both washer and dryer tubs. Then a quick wipe with a Clorox wipe and good to go. I was surprised that I got some crud on the wipe when a visual inspection looked OK. Never had an issue if I wiped the inside first.
