cpap and drycamping

One of the couples I know has, using a fully charged G24 deep-cycle ran their two CPAPS three nights, without charging (and no other loads). They used a good quality true sinewave inverter, well matched to the load

Your RV probably has a battery, use it. Might need a small inverter but many CPAPs can operate from battery.

As well, see if you can go without the humidifier. The humidifier makes it use 3-times the amps/hour as without.

Sorry, thought the title of this thread said something else.

Do an online search. There are dozens of CPAP machines that will run off internal battery power. May not be cheap, nor covered by your insurance, but it is an option.

Mine operates on 12V and came with a 12V cord/cigarette lighter plug and also came with a regular plug that steps 120 down to 12V. Covers all the bases.

Most of the newer models are capable of operating on 12v. May not have come with the cord, but $25 gets you started. I know that both Respironics and Resmed both have converted to 12v systems over the past 5 years. I installed a 12v plug directly from the bedside to the battery bank and my Respironics PR-1 Auto, runs strictly on 12v now, including the humidifier on setting #2.

even if it only runs on 120V AC battery power solutions sells a very nice lithium ion battery pack and small inverter than will run the cpap for at least 3 nights w/o charging. and with the included charger you can recharge it during the day from a car or trailer battery. or only use the inverter they sell.

there systems are designed for cpap users, and they know there stuff and can answer most any question you have for your specific cpap machine. Give them a call.
