the Cartersville and Adairsville area along I-75 are having trouble with auto break ins.the local news have warned drivers about this problem when you park in the rear where r.v.'s generally park.don't let our North Georgia criminals ruin your trip.

Another reason in Ga to pay as little as 25 bucks for a safe campground on a lake and with good folks with you. I never will bring a gun with me on our cross country travels and will hope to never stay anywhere but campgrounds. My secondary fear is a loose cannon with a handgun thinking he is Matt Dillon saving the West. Good luck with that, I always fear a round going through the fiberglass and hitting an innocent.

To clarify and off topic, I have only used CB' two times in 23 years. All other nights traveling are spent in a campground. I could not get a camp site those two times and was grateful for the opportunity to get off the road.Stopping in a rest area for a few minutes have had some interesting things happen, too.Edit by barb

Thanks for the clarification - but since many RVer's have GPS units, etc... sitting out in their TV's; it's always a good reminder to keep that stuff out of sight. Let's face it - an RV is a sign that someone's on vacation and probably is carrying a lot of electronics with them.

Don't know which CB you'all are talking about but the only one I TRIED to get into near the Atlanta area I could NOT even 'get in' the parking lot with a Class A!

I ended up parking elsewhere and walking over to the restaurant!!:B

I live 7 miles from the Adairsville CB. No rv's have been broken into and what problems they did have were smash and grab on cars when dining.
As normal here this post was not totally accurate and blown out of proportion.

We normally can see our rig as we are far to long to park in the RV lot so I look for a whole block of parking spots and park there. We normally have a choice as we go for breakfast at about 7 am,

1st we always use a campground
2nd in Ga it is a stop over on our way to NC
3rd I don't care about you stats as 1i am not look'n to live there.
4th we actually camp just off 95 in one of the poorest areas in Ga.
