We camped for the first time in our new 2015 Jayco this weekend. We boondocked in a state park campground about 10 or so miles away from home. Had a great time and weather was great. So go to the dump station and hook up the stinky slinky with the help of 10 yo DS.Trailer has two dump outlets. One for black and a grey and one for other grey. Stinky slinky is hooked up to the rearmost outlet and I pull the black valve and nothing comes out. I think what the #&?@. I close it and pull it open again and still nothing so I close it. The valve handle is between the two dump outlets. DS says let's drain the other outlet so I say what the heck.I pull the cap off the other dump outlet and whoosh there are black tank contents flying out and DS yells "Holy crap" scaring and old couple walking back to there site from the bathrooms. We finish dumping and clean up our mess and thank God no one was waiting behind us.

Pick up a sewer 'wye' and another section of sewer hose then connect BOTH drain lines and dump away

Well all three of my tanks drain through the same connection, if they didn't I would be looking at plumbing so they would.

Didn't the dealer show you how everything works when you picked up the unit?

I have a Valve attached to the drain hook-up line.It stays on all of the time,
The valve does not get opened untill the stinky slinky is attached.I learned about using that valve the hard way.The same a Bluie5.

It's not my first TT so we kind of skimmed over dumping the tanks as I had done it before with prior TT. I just forgot which outlet was which. You would think since the outlets are inches apart Jayco could have plumbed them together. I'll be working on that now. At least it was just from the black valve to the cap, but that was plenty. Mgiardo your right we were dry camping and not boondocking.

Wow, that does stink. I did something similar once. I left the black tank valve open at the end of a trip. When I went to hook up the sewer hose at the start of the next trip, I noticed it. Thankfully the cap didn't leak. After closing the valve, I was able to catch most of what was in the plumping between the valve and the opening in the sewer hose when I removed the cap. Just a small mess.

Just an FYI if you are in a campground you aren't boondocking. Without hookups, it is dry camping. If you have water and electric it's partial hookup. Full hookup is with water, electric and sewer.

bluie5 it would be best to post the model jayco you own. We can guide you further and better understand what you have in regards to tanks and drain valves...
