Looks like zero correlation with crashes, but high probability that being passed makes people crabby. ;)
You should drive home on the interstate from up north in Michigan in the summer on the weekends. People here drive fast wanting to get home, not an exaggeration nor was the fact that I passed not one person the entire way other that the one small car that decided to set the cruse at 55 on the interstate. We traveled between 65-68 the entire way home for 4 plus hours and saw no crashes, saw one class C along the road for whatever reason.
No fuzzy math here, maybe just luck with everybody. Being passed doesn't make me crabby either unless I get looks from people for going to slow.
