I ran into that 75.00 limit when I hit the road full time. AND gas was 6.00 a gallon. So 75 bucks at 6 bucks a gal didn't get me squat for the MH fuel tank.
This has been in place for a long time it was just the high price of gas that it became a problem for anyone driving a big fuel tank vehicle. Most stations actually did not even know what to do about it when an RV pulled in needed more and not knowing just how much more.
It IS the station policy it is not your personal card.
The option I was told I had was to leave my credit card with the attendant, they would open the pump and then go fill up, come back in and they'd run my card.
Sorry leaving my card with a pimply faced teenager in some po dunk town was NOT going to happen.
I ended up stopping quite a bit for gas with that 75.00 restriction and the high price of gas at the time.:R
