Here are some additional considerations for stopping for fuel.
Considering that each fuel stop could take upwards of 30 minutes, wouldn't it be prudent to get all of your fuel at one stop? Unless your rear end truly needs a break.
Since everyone is concerned about saving money, has anyone figured out how much additional fuel is used exiting and entering an interstate just to get fuel because you did not want to fill all at one stop. Just saying. I know my rig gets better mileage while in constant motion as compared to starting and stopping.
Credit card companies charge 2-3% for each transaction. That charge is almost always passed on to the consumer. In California, it is very common to see different prices for cash vs. credit. Usually 10 cents per gallon different. So you may use a full tank of gas just trying to find cheaper prices.
I find it interesting that people don't have a problem paying $4 for a cup of coffee but will complain to no end if they have to spend a few extra dollars on a 100 Gallon fuel purchase.
Oh well. Too each their own I guess.
